Payroll Setup & Support
We don't run payroll in house, and for almost every small business that's the right answer — a dedicated platform does the job more reliably and for less money than a bookkeeper processing runs by hand. The one we recommend is Gusto, which handles payroll processing, tax filings, direct deposit, employee onboarding, and self-service tools for your team.
What we do is the part that determines whether payroll actually goes smoothly: getting your account set up and configured, sorting out whether each worker is an employee or a contractor, handling the registrations for every state you operate in, and making sure the payroll entries land cleanly in your books each month. Setup is quoted as a one-time project based on the work involved.

1099 Filing
If you pay independent contractors, you have to report what you paid them, and the deadline lands on January 31 along with everything else year-end brings. The split is simple: you collect a W-9 from each contractor you hire, and we do the rest — tracking what each one was paid across every account you pay from, flagging anyone still missing a W-9 while there is time to ask, and preparing and filing before the deadline.
The part that makes January easy is the work done during the year. Sorting out who genuinely needs a 1099, catching contractors who should really be employees, and keeping payments tracked as they happen all mean the year-end filing is a report you pull rather than a reconstruction you attempt under time pressure.
